Unfulfilled Journey!

I know that I am not the only one who has had times of feeling unfulfilled in my journey. Those times when you feel like what you are doing isn’t enough. You feel as though you are going through the motions, your picture looks good on the outside looking in. Your family is healthy, everyone feels like you are doing great, the house the car the dog. Even though everything should be great your feeling empty. You feel incomplete while feeling incomplete you start to feel selfish. You start asking questions; why am I not happy? Why can’t I be satisfied, it could be worse. God is it something wrong with me, why can’t I be happy?

Unfulfilled is defined as “not carried out or brought to completion and not having fully utilized or exploited one’s abilities or character”. You are not by yourself and you are not crazy. Society tells us that you should be happy when the picture looks right, and this also confirms that you should keep people around you that are on your level or on a level that you aspire to be on. You need support and encouragement at this time. It is important that you have proper guidance. You don’t want or need a person who is settling in their personal life to give you advice. Trying to convince you that where you are in life is enough, and you should be satisfied with what you have. There is a difference in being successful and being fulfilled. Just because you have accomplished success, wealth, or material items that do not mean that you have reached your level of fulfillment.

Your purpose is not always connected to your profession, nor is it connected to your possessions. Purpose defined as “the reason for which something is done or created for which something exists.” We all have a purpose in this world. When you start to get too comfortable in life, life has a way of making you uncomfortable. Especially when you are not walking in your purpose. When you get to the point of being uncomfortable in your spirit letting you know that you have reached a point of spiritual maturation and you are ready to dig deeper inside yourself. To begin the Journey to find what God has called you to do. To find your purpose, until you begin to learn the gift that God has bestowed onto you, you will continue to be uncomfortable. Most people have a hunger that they are trying to feed, and there is a feeling of coming up short. That feeling of coming up short is not a failure but it is confirming for you that you are looking in the wrong places. If you were allowed to be comfortable and content in a life that was not destined for you how would you know there is more out there for you.

No matter your faith or what you believe, I would hope that you would question why you are here. That you have to be here for a reason, not just to work and try to survive on a day by day. I know that before we took our first breath an assignment was given to us to carry out. Each person’s path would be different and with the obstacles that get placed in our path are all the tools and lessons given to us that will have a greater meaning to us later. (Romans 8:28) “And we know that all things work together for the good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” Sometimes those things are for the people watching us maneuver through those obstacles, to help prepare them for something they will endure in the future. Hence, why some people are in your life for a season.

This life we live is not by coincidence or accident. All things are for a reason and purpose. We question why things happen and the purpose of why things happen. You have to live in your purpose because you never know what you are sent here to do and achieve. People will not understand why you are making what seem to be sudden or drastic changes in your life. When you know or find your purpose you can’t be afraid to move in that purpose, because operating in obedience and purpose you can’t go wrong. We all progress at different times, when people try to tell you that you are wrong, crazy or making a mistake they don’t know your purpose. When you feel convicted in the uncomfortable place and you feel like your steps are being ordered to move in a different direction, trust your heart, your mind, and spirit. Pray for clarity, understanding, and direction you will be led to your purpose and it will become more and more clear to you the more you trust the process and trust in him.
