The Recalibration of My Mind, Body, and Soul Through God’s Grace
The Journey Continues…
Whenever we try to be better or do better, our challenges seem to get stronger. It seems as though the push and pulls of life get harder, and frustrations rise, which causes you to question yourself. Your mind has you feeling like everything and everyone around you are refusing to allow you to be great. You start to have those inner conversations with yourself, questioning God why is that if you are really trying to do right, why are things getting in the way and testing me? You begin to question is it worth it, and the feelings of how much easier it was to live your way. It seems like everyone else is skating through life, and you feel as though they aren’t as worthy or they don’t work as hard as you do! Why is everything coming easily to them? Does any of this sound familiar? R U Serious?
Calibrate is defined: to adjust or mark something, or device so that it can be used in an accurate and exact way. It is time to calibrate our Mind, Body, and Soul to be used in the accurate and exact way God intended us to be. We need to fine tune and reset ourselves for where we are in this journey. With every step higher we achieve in this process we have to recalibrate to be able to deal with and handle the next level of challenges and test we will have to face.
Grace is defined as: (in Christian belief) the free and unmerited favor of God, as manifested in the salvation of sinners and the bestowal of blessings. We need to make sure that we are always in a place of understanding as to whose we are. It is only by God’s Grace that we are able to overcome and face those obstacles and make sure that our faith is strong. The longer you are on this journey the more your faith will be tested. It is only by the Grace of God that we will be able to endure. We are not on this journey by accident, we are to be obedient and let him use and lead us. We have tried it our way for too long, and we can’t do it alone.
At this part of the journey, we have reached a milestone believe it or not. When those tests begin to turn up, and you feel the kickbacks of life your faith will be tested. When we started out confident when we started on this path anew, we were walking with our chests out, head held high, and we were motivated and determined to be and do better than our circumstances. We are halfway through this year and we are on roll and on a mission now is when we have to focus, we cannot get discouraged by these obstacles being placed in front of us. No obstacle can defeat us in this journey! The devil gets no glory here! Stop and take a look back and see how far in this process we have come! We have let the problems of our past go, we have cleaned up and decluttered, and we learned that we don’t have to fear happiness! Not to mention we know that God still knows who we are, we have even learned to slow down and not to be so quick to speak and just listen! It is only by His Grace that we are here!
Our list is continuing to grow, why would we give up now? The devil plays on you when you are on the path of success. He doesn’t want to see you prosper. The reason the other people appear to skate by in life is that one of two things, the devil knows he has them and they are not looking to stray. Or they have already been tested, and they have their testimonies! We have no time to worry or concern ourselves with the next person, we pray for them and keep it moving. We can’t be distracted with other people’s lives or where they are in their journey. We have to focus right now and get what God has for us!
When you start working out and exercising you buy a scale and you make sure it is calibrated to zero before you ever step on it. Heaven forbids it starts out giving you an extra ounce of weight that you do not want to claim. R U Serious? We have to recalibrate ourselves and set ourselves at zero every now and again, we give the old stuff over to God so that we can make room for the greatness to come! We cannot hold on to the old baggage we were toting around, we can only grow from it and move on with his Grace!
Grace: (in Christian belief) the free and unmerited favor of God, as manifested in the salvation of sinners and the bestowal of blessings.
